Research Interests

  • The discovery and understanding of function of genes in forest trees, especially those controlling complex traits. We are focusing on SNP discovery within candidate genes and association mapping to identify alleles useful in tree breeding. A committment to developing tree breeding technologies will not only provide better wood and paper products, but will also reduce the need for harvesting of natural forests.
