- My research interests include a wide range of projects in both marine and arid systems involving disturbance ecology, landscape ecology, and the physiological ecology and immunity of reptiles and amphibians, with particular interest in Chelonian species. My current research has centered on advancing clinical and laboratory based diagnostics needed to understand and improve assessments of animal health, quantify factors related to disease, and advance knowledge in eco-immunology in slow-responding species such as the Mojave desert tortoise.
