- plant photosynthetic physiology and water relations
- We are interested in the possibilities for affecting agricultural water use through changing plant hydraulics and stomata, while maintaining high agricultural productivity. This research is done through physiological modeling, custom made physiological measurement systems and validated with field measurements of water use. Key to this endeavor is knowledge of the ecophysiological tradeoffs that limit our ability to breed plants – our inspiration comes from nature.
